HOME, HOSPITALITY AND COMMUNITY HAVE LONG BEEN SIGNPOSTS TO SOPHIA’S HEART, AND THEY ALSO HAPPEN TO REPRESENT KEY STAGES OF HER LIFE SO FAR.

As a young, up-and-coming designer, she put an interior architecture degree from the University of California to work managing the design and styling of new openings for the popular Kimpton Hotels brand.

After completing Babson’s renowned entrepreneurial MBA program, Sophia began creating the marketing and branding plans for a host of new luxury hotels — including Joie de Vivre’s beloved boutique hotels — as director of branding for a hospitality group founded by the Hyatt scion John Pritzker.

But amid all the travel and excitement, she began to feel a desire to be closer to “a community I’m proud to call home while helping families find their perfect place.”

Her first home was a 1938 English cottage that she successfully renovated, decorated and sold.

And as she turned from creating homes away from home, to home sweet home, it turns out that real estate brings it all together for her: Nimble management skills. A passion for design. Love of community.

An accredited Earth Advantage Real Estate Broker and ADU Specialist, she offers clients an abundance of green home expertise with hands-on experience creating backyard cottages (check out her charming loft on AirBnB).

Among clients and colleagues alike, she’s known as much for her tenacity and enthusiasm for negotiating and navigating multiple offers as she is for nurturing and maintaining relationships long after her deals are closed.

When she’s not helping her clients, you’ll find her renovating her 1911 farmhouse, shopping vintage and spending time outdoors with Maya, Archie and Danny — her young daughter, son and sneaker obsessed husband.

"Sophia was amazing helping us to buy our first home. The process felt daunting but she gave us a great overview at the start and explained the finer points as they arose.

Her knowledge of the area and negotiation skills were reassuring in a very competitive market.

Sophia helped us to figure out what we really wanted and helped us through a long search until we found the perfect house."

"If you're looking for a sign, this is it. Sophia helped us purchase our first home and we truly couldn’t have had a better experience. She is extremely knowledgeable, relatable and responsive. In the midst of a pandemic and highly competitive market, she went above and beyond to help us understand every detail of the purchasing process, went on countless home tours and provided all the tools to help us write our most competitive offers.

Home buying is such a personal (let’s be honest — stressful) experience yet Sophia helped us feel supported and confident throughout the process. She knows the area, is dialed-in to the ever-shifting market and can be trusted to give honest, insightful feedback. Without a doubt, we would work with Sophia and team at PDX Inspired in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase or sell!

We’re elated to be in our new home, but honestly? … we miss chatting with and seeing Sophia on a daily basis. And if that’s not a rave review for a real estate broker, I don’t know what is."

"She said our house will sell fast but we had no clue we’d get 18 offers in less than 48 hours. Did I mention we got $100k over asking? Sophia was amazing, flexible, knowledgable and she made the process a lot less stressful. We put the work in to stage the house and with her help it looked so good. She guided us through everything and in the end, we got everything we could have imagined. Plus she has great style! Highly recommended!"

"We feel so lucky to have had Sophia by our side every step of the way in our recent home purchase. As first-time homebuyers, our nerves were high, and we came into the market with very little knowledge of the process. Sophia never let us feel overwhelmed – she took care of every step and detail while making sure all of our questions were answered and we felt confident in our decisions. Even though we were not her only clients, her work ethic and continuous communication made it feel like we were her top priority. Her negotiation abilities were fine-tuned to each offer that we made in a hyper-competitive market, and in the end, we ended up with an amazing home through a great deal. We know the housing market journey is not over for us and for all future transactions, selling or buying, we will be going through Sophia!"

"Sophia is incredible. As a first-time buyer, she made the process so clear-cut and easy. Not only is she very helpful in guiding you through the home-buying process, but from touring homes to closing is amazing at pointing out the little details of each house - both the good and the not-so-good.

Sophia is very centered and realistic in all of her work - she defers completely to your preferences but injects her expertise when necessary without ever being pushy or sales-y, just friendly and sweet and helpful. She made the process as easy as possible and provided all the resources necessary to make it seamless.

Would 100% recommend her as an agent, she is the best!"

"Sophia recently helped me purchase a new home and sell my previous one, and she was an excellent partner throughout the process. She was very attentive and responded quickly to my questions and really helped me navigate all the intricacies of appraisals, inspections, marketing, and negotiations. I trusted her implicitly as I knew she had good judgment and would represent me appropriately at all times. I could also leverage Sophia's experience and aesthetic taste to stage the house as I prepared to sell my old home. She also had creative suggestions for furnishing my new home. Overall I couldn't have had a better experience!"

"When we decided to try and buy a new house, while simultaneously selling our old (while living in it, with young children!), Sophia didn't tell us we were crazy (although we probably were.) She helped get it done.

On the selling side, she told us everything we'd need to do to get it ready, which was less than we thought we'd need to do. She showed us how similar homes in our area were selling, and for how much. She staged the house beautifully, to the point where we found ourselves wondering why things hadn't always been configured that way. She had wonderful pictures taken. And the results speak for themselves: our house was on the market for less than a day, before we got an all-cash offer over asking price. She was instrumental in making that happen.

On the buying side, Sophia was a great negotiator, and did a great job communicating the seller's positions to us while quickly answering all of our questions. We were able to buy a beautiful home significantly below the original asking price.

Seriously, Sophia is the reason that our entire crazy plan worked, and worked well. She is awesome and we would highly recommend her and work with her again."

"Listen. Stop wasting your time. Just hire the top and live your best life.

Story: When I bought my house it had been on the market for two months, no offers. I swooped in and straight snatched that house from the sellers, getting WAY under asking. Fast forward five years, now I gotta sell this sloppy slouch mover. In walks my angel: the one, the only....Sophia. She was like, get all this stuff out of here and listen to me and lemme make your house look like a southwestern instagram moment and I was like, okay queen. Guess what? My house sold in 12 hours with six offers over asking, finalizing at 30k over asking. Was my house nicer than when I bought it? Hell no, I'm lazy. Was the neighborhood cooler than when I bought it? Wayyyyy less cooler actually, because my neighbor had picked up the hobby of IN STREET DRONE FLYING. The only difference was Sophia.

Remember:
1. Hire the top. That's Sophia
2. Stop being weird. Just listen to her.
3. Trust people who have brown curly hair.
4. Working moms are the best of all the workers.
5. I was following this Portland Insta account because it was slick AF, and I was gonna forward it to Sophia as a "listen to me I can help you dominate" moment, and when I when to the info page, IT WAS HER INSTA ACCOUNT. I WAS RANDOMLY FOLLOWING MY OWN REALTOR'S INSTA ACCOUNT BECAUSE IT WAS SO EPIC.

I'm a day walker red head. This gives power to know things. I know that you should just use her. Let her make your house look like a southwestern moment. It'll sell in minutes. Do it."

"I worked with Sophia this past year to purchase a home in Lake Oswego. I was new to Portland, so she started by showing me one or two houses in each neighborhood that met my criteria. We saw 14 houses in two days, and she continued refining home showings based on the feedback we provided for each house.

Sophia went above and beyond at almost every step, most notably by helping my wife to find an apartment while we waited for our home to sell so we could purchase a new home. What realtor does that??

She was patient with our timeline which spanned 9 months and brought with it several curve balls. At the end of it all we ended up in the perfect home, largely due to Sophia's efforts. I highly recommend working with her!"
